Proteins are macro molecules formed by amino acids. Proteins are also involved in every aspects of cellular life. Proteins are made up of thousands of smaller units called amino acids which are attached to each other in long chains. A protein contains at least one long polypeptide. Once protein is formed it only exists for certain period of time and then degraded and recycled by cell machinery by the process of protein turnover. After formation protein functions include Antibody, Enzyme, Messenger, Structural Component, and Transport Storage.
